Dr. Barry Shaffer
Dr. Shaffer is a graduate of the University of Southern California, earning his Bachelors Degree in History and in 1974 a Doctorate Degree in Dentistry. He is a past part-time faculty member at the U.S.C. School of Dentistry, teaching Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Shaffer holds memberships in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Fernando Valley Dental Association and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. As an active participant and past Board member of Global Humanitarian Expeditions, Dr. Shaffer has volunteered throughout much of the Developing World bringing Dental Care to children of Vietnam, Nepal and India. In 2003 Dr. Shaffer entered the Brooks Institute of Photography’s Professional Photography program, and concurrently combines a professional career in Dentistry and Photography, having past and future fine Art exhibits to his credit, and a photography book to be published later this year. Away from professional life, Dr. Shaffer enjoys a large family, traveling the globe, trekking, gardening, horses, and sitting as a Board Member of several non-profit organizations.
